“After that whole generation had died, another generation grew up, who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel. 11 Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD and served the Baals.’ Judges 2:10-11
Observations of the next generation:
Their world is smaller and their perspective is broader.
They have a wider definition of “friends”.
They’re more experiential.
Most have been under-challenged.
Their world is gray.
They’re searching for a cause.
When it comes to next Generation ministry we must-
1. Wake up.
(1 Thessalonians 5:6) “So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled.”
(1 Peter 5:8) “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
2. Wise up.
(Daniel 11:32 KJV) “…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
(2 Corinthians 2:11) “…in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.”
3. Sign up.
(Isaiah 6:8) Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
(1 Corinthians 9:22 LB) “...Yes, whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.”

This new series, Pastor Joel will share our vision to build a new building that will house our entire children’s and student ministry in 2010. During this series we will learn how to build more than a building but how to build lives, future generations, people, and most importantly God’s kingdom. The series will conclude on January 31 with a “Miracle Offering” Sunday. Make it a priority to be present for each of the four parts of this important series.
